He completed is MBBS from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore and later pursued MS & DNB in General Surgery, followed by MCh & DNB (Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery) . He acquired the first position in his MCh training in Mumbai and also secured C S Sadasivan Gold medal in cardiothoracic surgery in All India National Board examinations. After a brief stint in India, he later went to UK for his Advanced Adult Cardiac Surgery training in MICS and Aortic Surgery Fellowship from Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, UK.
